Vaccine Policy for South Orlando Pediatrics

• We firmly believe in vaccines and their safety.
• We firmly believe in the effectiveness of vaccines to prevent serious illness and to save lives, not only your child but also children around your child.
• We firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics. This schedule has resulted from years of studies and data collection on millions of children. We appreciate that you do not bring your own schedule to follow. We trust our scientists and physicians.
• We firmly believe that vaccinating children and young adults is the most important health-promoting intervention we perform as health care providers, and that you can perform as parents/caregivers.
• We firmly believe, based on all available literature, evidence, and current studies, that vaccines do not cause autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Finally, if you should absolutely refuse to vaccinate your child despite all our efforts to answer all your questions, we will recommend that you find another health care provider. We believe that by not vaccinating your child, you are putting them and any other children of our practice at unnecessary risk for life-threatening illness, disability, or even death.
